The 43rd VR-Bank Run "Around the Veste Coburg" took place on July 6, 2025, and enjoyed great popularity with ideal running weather and a new participant record of 1,112 finishers. The running highlight of the region attracted both recreational runners and ambitious athletes, offering a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of the fortress city. The centerpiece was the 10-kilometer main race, which was won by Leon Schübel from the Laufteam Bayern in an impressive 33:39 minutes. Additionally, there was a DAK children’s and youth race over 1.6 kilometers, in which 278 motivated kids participated.
